The coastal path (between Argelès-sur-Mer and Collioure)
Starting from the hotel, the coastal path invites you to walk between sea and vineyards, shaped by the light and landscapes of the Côte Vermeille. Well-marked and accessible, it leads to Racou beach in 15 minutes, or further to Collioure via the vineyard path (25 minutes) or the coastal path (45 minutes). Beneath your feet, schist soil and Mediterranean vegetation accompany the walk, while the Mediterranean opens up at every turn. Views of the Canigou mountain, vineyards, and coastline create a gentle and inspiring experience, to be enjoyed at your own pace, between contemplation and freedom.

Culture and
tradition
Village festivals, traditional dances including the iconic “sardana”, the impressive human towers known as castells, and parades of giants: the Côte Vermeille is rich in colorful traditions and deeply rooted customs. Proud of its culture, passed down as a legacy through generations, our region is also best experienced in its villages, through encounters with local people.

Cultural
heritage
Collioure, the town of painters and a showcase of Fauvism, offers a glimpse of the rich heritage of the Côte Vermeille. From small fishing ports to the foothills of the Albères, from the almost retro atmosphere of Racou to vibrant local markets, including the Cerbère-Banyuls National Nature Reserve, Fort Saint-Elme, the Royal Castle of Collioure, and the fortified town of Villefranche-de-Conflent—each destination reveals its own heritage gems.
Your stay at the Grand Hôtel du Golfe is an invitation to discover history and be inspired by it.

Wine and
fine dining
Here, wine and gastronomy are part of the heritage. Nestled between sea and mountains, the vineyards blanket the hillsides of the Roussillon, producing sun-drenched and expressive wines. Banyuls Grand Cru, Collioure anchovies and croquants, mussels and clams, cargolada, bullinada, Catalan specialties—gastronomy here is a language of the heart. Discover the Côte Vermeille through its wines and cuisine, indulging your appetite at Le Bistrot à la Mer, the Grand Hôtel du Golfe’s restaurant, and at the local gourmet shops and dining spots nearby.
