Our environmental
commitments

Our CSR approach is rooted in a vision of tourism that respects the environment, local territories, and the people who bring them to life. Located in a remarkable natural setting, in the heart of a region rich in traditions and expertise, the Grand Hôtel du Golfe pays particular attention to preserving its resources and heritage.

We strive to combine high-quality hospitality with environmental responsibility through concrete actions and committed partnerships.

Reducing our ecological impact, ensuring the well-being of our employees, and supporting the local economy are the pillars of our daily commitment. Each stay is designed with an eco-responsible approach, offering a hotel experience in harmony with our sustainable values and the expectations of our guests.

First mile project

As part of our commitment to sustainable development, we have implemented the First Mile Project, a global initiative aimed at integrating eco-responsible practices at the core of our operations.

This project is based on several key pillars: reducing waste, lowering energy and water consumption, and promoting local food products. We also actively encourage green mobility and ensure that sustainable options are highlighted at every decision point.

The goal is to embed these practices into our daily operations by encouraging responsible behaviors and strengthening employee awareness. To achieve this, we provide ongoing eco-responsible training, enabling everyone to become an active contributor to change.

To bring this initiative to life, several concrete actions have been implemented :

  • immersive discovery days,
  • cross-department workshops,
  • an ambassador program,
  • continuous training sessions,
  • innovation challenges,
  • and committed team-building activities.

Through this project, we aim to create a collective dynamic in which every team member actively contributes to building a more sustainable and responsible model.

Energy efficiency

As part of our sustainable transition, we have implemented an ambitious energy efficiency policy aimed at reducing our environmental impact while optimizing our resources.

This approach includes concrete actions such as conducting energy audits, improving insulation, and modernizing our equipment, notably through the installation of LED lighting, smart thermostats, and solar power systems. We have also redesigned our outdoor lighting to limit unnecessary consumption.

At the same time, particular attention is given to water management, with awareness initiatives on hot water usage and the implementation of a greywater reuse program.

The success of this approach also relies on the involvement of our teams. This is why we develop eco-responsible training and awareness initiatives, supported by clear signage that encourages good daily practices.

Finally, we strengthen our commitment through responsible initiatives such as waste sorting and recycling, selective waste collection, dedicated collection points (ink cartridges, batteries), and reducing single-use plastics.

Through these actions, we reaffirm our commitment to combining performance, responsibility, and collective engagement for a more sustainable future.

Cleaning products & sustainable mobility

As part of our commitment to more responsible practices, we have thoroughly rethought our approach to cleaning products as well as our contribution to sustainable mobility.

We now prioritize the use of eco-friendly products without hazard labeling and integrate recognized environmental certifications into our choices. To optimize their use while reducing waste, we have implemented auto-dosing systems and efficient dilution stations. We are also exploring innovative solutions such as activated water cleaning systems, which reduce the need for chemical products.

These developments are supported by training and awareness initiatives for our teams to ensure effective, safe, and responsible use on a daily basis.

At the same time, we are actively developing our commitment to electric mobility. We have created two parking spaces dedicated to charging electric or hybrid vehicles, equipped with a dual EVBox 22kW AC “BusinessLine” T2SE three-phase charging station.

This system offers charging access via badge or QR code and is open to the public, facilitating the adoption of more sustainable transport options.

We are also gradually expanding our electric fleet, reinforcing our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint while supporting new mobility solutions.

Through these actions, we position our establishment within a dynamic of innovation and responsibility, serving a more environmentally respectful future.

Water management & daily eco-actions

With the aim of preserving resources, we have implemented an active policy for responsible water management, combined with daily eco-actions to reduce our overall energy consumption.

This approach relies above all on awareness and the involvement of our teams, supported by training initiatives and regular monitoring. We optimize consumption through the installation of efficient equipment such as aerators, mixers, flow reducers, dual-flush toilets, as well as motion sensors and push-button systems.

We have also developed concrete solutions to limit waste, including water fountains, greywater reuse for irrigation, and optimized irrigation systems. The selection of native, low-water-consumption plants, as well as pool covers, also contributes to this effort.

To ensure the effectiveness of these actions, we carry out regular audits and ensure proactive leak detection.

At the same time, we encourage simple but essential daily eco-actions :

  • systematically checking that lights are switched off,
  • monitoring temperatures,
  • turning off standby devices and computers,
  • maximizing natural light.

We also promote a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging feedback and suggestions from our team members.

Through these initiatives, we reaffirm our commitment to preserving natural resources while actively involving everyone in a responsible and sustainable approach.
