Festa Major: Collioure Ignites for Saint Vincent in August

Since 1701, August 16 has marked in Collioure one of the most moving rituals of the Catalan calendar: the arrival by sea of the relics of Saint Vincent, patron saint of the city, carried on traditional boats as crowds gather along the quays. For five days, the village vibrates, sings and dances.
Five Days
of Popular Festivity
Bandas, sardanes danced in the squares, street performances, concerts and nautical games punctuate the days and nights of this summer highlight. On the evening of August 16, the pinnacle of the festivities, a spectacular fireworks display lights up the bay — the bell tower of Notre-Dame-des-Anges silhouetted against the sky, the Mediterranean as its mirror.
From Grand Hôtel du Golfe, nestled on the corniche between Argelès and Collioure, these moments take on a particular intensity. Sea-facing rooms and suites, a sun-drenched terrace, sincere hospitality: our team ensures every detail of your stay rises to the magic of the occasion. Book early — mid-August on the Côte Vermeille fills up fast.
